Dutch West Indies - Part Dos

Okay, I realize these vacation posts aren't super exciting since we pretty much just laid out and ate, but here are the rest of the vaca pics. Austin and I saved our activity day til the last day...not a good idea. We were going to go on a boat ride to three different islands and snorkel, then get mud baths. Doesn't that sound fun? Well it was canceled because of bad weather and big waves, so we couldn't go. Instead, we decided to dine out to a nice restaurant. Mr. Busby's Bar and Grill is supposed to be their finest restaurant. It was EXPENSIVE, and not all that good. It was just not American food at all. Austin ordered their Fillet Mignon, and I decided to go with the Caribbean Special, Creole (sp?). I decided I needed to get seafood while in the Caribbean.
This is what it looked like. Some kind of sea animal I guess with pasta. The taste was yummy, but the look and gumminess (is that a word?) just made me plain sick.

We also ordered a lobster appetizer. I hadn't tried it before, and I love seafood so we splurged. It came out weird. I wasn't expecting it too look like it did. If it weren't so covered in cocktail sauce, I would have enjoyed it more. Don't get me wrong, I ate the whole thing. (Notice how Austin blurred me out in the background and focused on the dish. Nice, Aust!)
Austin hated the Lobster. Go figure.
Here we are at our million dollar meal. The best part about the whole night was their LARGE, and I mean LARGE basket of garlic bread that we downed in about 5 min. Oh also the part where Austin tried to convert our waitress to Christianity. It went pretty well...haha not. Maybe if we understood her, it would have gone better? We got ice cream desserts too. Don't worry that I got all the way home and noticed my shirt. Actually, Austin noticed. There goes our life savings. Awesome. After all was said and done, Austin said, "I would have been happy with a hamburger." Don't you think he looks cute in this picture BTW? What up. The next day was time to go home. Sad for us. We packed and had an hour to lay out. Of course the day we leave is the nicest day. Go figure. On the way to the airport, we got to see a little bit of the island. It's a really SWEET place. And.........to end the vacation nicely, we got on both of our flights!!!! Tah - Tah for now.

Looks like so much fun. This is my jealous face. By the by that red swimsuit is freaking adorable, and the shirt that suffered the sad ice cream incident....that's the one we bought at the crazy zoo of a "half-yearly sale" at layers, isn't it? It's awful cute.
