Weekend Getaway

This last weekend Austin and I went to St. George with my family.

It was super SUPER hot and we got plenty of sunshine.

I just can't believe I am having 2 posts in a row that involve shooting guns, but yes....we did again.

My dad and Austin have gotten into guns lately. My dad just bought two new hand guns as well as Austin's new shotgun that everyone wanted to test out.

We went to walmart for some supplies. We bought plenty of clay pigeons and the thrower device.

Don't ask me what it's called but you know....the device that throws the clay pigeons up in the air for you to shoot at.

Anyway...

We packed up some drinks and headed into the middle of nowhere.

It was ONLY 92 degrees with no shade.

Not miserably hot...at all.

I got a bunch of pictures of us shooting the handgun but I was too close to dead to take pictures once we got the shotgun out and the clay pigeons going... oh well.... you get the gist...

We sorta got in trouble for getting this picture. Look at my dad.... he is thinking Erika is really going to shoot with me behind the target.

After sitting out in the sun for 4 hours shooting guns, Aust and my dad wanted to go golfing. I tagged along for a ride on the golf cart and a few pictures....

They are cuties...

On Saturday we went to Zions. I hadn't been there since 6th grade and it was Austin's first time going. Austin went into the gift shop to get some sunflower seeds and came out wearing this nice Zions tank top. He's looking pretty nice in it though...I must say :)

We hiked Angel's Landing. None of us had ever done it before. It was pretty dang beautiful and nice and hot outside.

We finally got up to the Saddle and ate some lunch  before the brave souls went on to the scary part. This was high enough for me!!! Look at that cliff we are on.... ugh. I hate looking at it.

My mom and I stayed behind. We were the chickens. I started with the rest of them but after watching my dad's water bottle go off the edge of the cliff..... I was done.

It was a long day of hiking but too short of a vacation.

I'm really planning to start taking more pictures of us!!!
