One Month Old

I have started to really enjoy being a mom this last week....
Not that I wasn't enjoying it before,
but I feel like I'm finally starting to adjust and get used to my new life.
It is so life changing!!! Everything revolves around her feeding schedule.
I still feel like I am feeding her or burping her ALL DAY LONG!
I thought I would die staying home all day every day, but I love it (for now).
We stay in our jammies all day, cook meals, take pictures, and snuggle watching movies.
Seriously...I never leave.
I feel like I haven't done one summery thing yet and the summer is half way over! Ah!

This week AJ started smiling, and it is the cutest thing ever.
She also started sleeping good.
She sleeps from about 11:30 - 4:00 and then 4:30 to about 8.
Awww thank goodness!!
Waking up only once a night makes the biggest difference.
I no longer have to nap in the day and can kinda sorta get some stuff done.

This girl also started cooing and her eye contact is getting much better.
She follows me across the room now and focuses really good.
I feel like she is getting spoiled. I seriously hold her all day.
She is getting better about being left in her bouncer,
but she still likes to see me.

She is still fussy at nights when her tummy hurts but the gas drops have helped so much!
We also started putting her in the "swaddle me" at nights.
At first we thought she liked to have her arms free, but she sleeps much better being tight.
It's too cute.....the little burrito.

I always said I would put her in her own bedroom at 1 month,
but it may be 6 weeks :)
We need a monitor before we switch her over.
I love her sleeping 3 feet from me. It's going to be hard to switch her to her own room.
Austin thinks I am crazy and have separation anxiety.
So maybe I do.

She still loves her bink. She loves to be sucking 24-7.
She is also still eating very good. I think she's getting chubby.
I love chubby babies.
She is getting way too long for her newborn clothes.
She outgrew her two sets of jammies this week.
Her fingers are always popping out of her onesies
and all her leggings are capris.

She does not like her car seat very much unless she can have her binky,
but of course she always drops it and freaks out.
I don't know what we're going to do about that.
Maybe leave more often and get her used to it? Hm??

We think her eyes look brown most of the time. We love her eyes!
She still has baby acne and is starting to lose some hair on the top,
but her hair on the sides and back of her head is sooooo long!
She's still...just perfect.

Splurge and get a video monitor. It makes it so much easier for you when they are sleeping in their room. You can check on her without having to leave your bed. You will sleep so much better when she isn't in the room. We still need to come and see her. I think she looks just like you in these pictures!
