The Roof and Temple Square

This really is the best time of the year....and even more fun with a little babes! If you've been reading my blog since the beginning of time (a whole 5 years ago), you know that my parents always take us out to a nice dinner to celebrate Christmas. This year we went to The Roof. I love this tradition because I LOVE food. Why is eating so much fun???? No better way to celebrate, in my opinion. Traffic was horrrrrrible going up there. We left at 6:10 and arrived 2 HOURS LATER!!! Yep. A half hour late for our reservations so we only had 60 minutes to stuff our faces instead of 90. I seriously ran out of time. I shoveled those desserts in! Oh and I nursed Allegra in the traffic. I had no choice. She was going on 4 hours and she usually eats every 3, so she was not happy! It's cool cause the whole time I fed her, we pretty much moved 2 inches, so she was safe. Downtown was so crazy. it took us 45 minutes to get from the freeway to the parking garage....and then parking on top of that. Crazy. After eating we walked around temple square. The lights are amazing. I haven't been up there in years. That's where Austin and I had our first official date to (btw). I don't know if I have been back up to look at the lights since then. Beautiful! Allegra was snug as a bug inside a rug. Love this family of mine. Thanks parents for the funnest night and best Christmas tradition!!
