Twenty-Twelve

On New Year's Eve, we threw our first party ever (I think) and had a murder mystery dinner with Austin's high school friends, Everyone dressed up so good, and we had a blast. Every time I think about how I didn't take a group pic (or any pics at all), I poke my own eye. Sooo mad at myself! Anyway.....here we are at midnight. AJ of course woke up. She hates to be left out (or hates sleeping....I dunno). Austin just got finished hitting balls in the batting cages, and I.....almost made it to the shower that day, sooooo we are lookin gooo ooo oood! Notice my tiny bangs and  sideburns? Having a baby comes with so many joys :)

WELL....ANOTHER YEAR HAS COME AND GONE!!!

2012 was a year of change for us, and that's a good thing!! It was definitely time! We were super used to our routine, and our world turned upside down with a new baby in the family and a new house! We spent most of the first months of the year finishing our basement, and then came the spring where I was VERY PREGNANT and uncomfortable. Now it all feels like a dream. In the summer we finally got to meet our angel baby. We spent most of the summer inside adjusting to our new life and enjoying every second of her! The fall and winter were full of good memories with our little family! Here's a little recap of the highlights.....

January

-We went to the Zac Brown Band concert and danced the night away

-I hit my 20 week mark and found out we're having a girl!

February

-We spent all our time painting the basement!

March

-We waited in line for 3 hours for lottery tickets

-We took a trip to Vegas with Kip and Jer

-We got a new niece, Sylvie!

-I entered my last trimester

April

-We got our 30 week ultrasound

-We moved into our new house!

-I was really feeling the 3rd trimester symptoms of heartburn, trouble breathing, and a sore bod!

-Baby shower time!!

May 

-Jake and Ari got hitched

-We finished the nursery
-I hit full term and looked huge :)

June

-My water broke and Allegra Jo arrived right on time! It was the best day of our lives!

-Aust took a week off, and we had lots of sleepless nights and baby snuggles

-We got evacuated because of the fire with a 1 week old baby

July

-AJ turned 1 month and started smiling!

-We had a low-key, uneventful fourth that turned into "catch up on sleep" day

August

-Erika and Creighton got married

-Allegra was blessed

September

-Our colicky baby turned into our "smiley girl", thank goodness!

-Allegra turned 3 months and learned how to laugh.

-We took a trip to St. George for our 6th anniversary!

October

-AJ turned 4 months and learned how to roll over

-AJ had her first Halloween and dressed up as a kitty

November

-We spent Thankgiving at the Ingersolls

-Allegra learned how much she loves hearing her own voice by screaming 24-7!

December

-Allegra turned 6 months and started eating solids!

-We went to dinner at the Roof with the Egans

-It was baby's first Christmas!

I am so excited for what's to come in 2013! I'm already loving it, and that's almost freaky considering how cold it is and how bad January usually sucks. Life is good!
