St. George

We took a road trip to St George for Memorial Day weekend. We left Thursday night at 8:30 when it was time for AJ to go to bed. We decided to drive while she would sleep since she's a little monster in the car. She fell right to sleep and slept most of the way until we got to about Cedar City (a little before Cedar), and she woke up when we stopped to go the the bathroom. She was up the rest of the drive, but she was happy, and it was like 11:45!!!! We finally got to the condo when it was almost 1:00 AM.

FRIDAY

Allegra slept in until about 8:30, and then we went to McDonald's for breakfast and wi-fi because Austin had a little bit of work to do. Afterwards we went to the pool, and AJ fell asleep on the way. She slept for a good hour in a half at the pool, so me and Austin could just lay out. That was niiiice! When she woke up we had lunch and played at the pool for a bit. AJ is still a little unsure of the water and she kinda whined the whole time while in the water, but she likes playing on the side of the pool :)

Friday night we went out for Thai Food with the Wests. Allegra was a terror, and cried and whined and made the biggest mess ever. Not that fun haha. She's pretty much passed the stage of being able to take her to a restaurant. I felt so bad for the waiter and the people around us, but she sure is a cute one even if she's a naughty one. After dinner we cruised around and went to Swigs. BEST THINGS EVER!!! I want to move to St. George!!!!

Saturday we had to wake Allegra up at 8:30 to go to Zion to hike Emerald Pools with the West Fam! The babies did pretty good in the car, but it's quite the process to get up there and ready to go with the drive and then parking and then the long bus ride. Whew....Allegra was ready for a nap by the time we started walking. Within 5 minutes, she zonked.

We made it to the top pools and had a picnic lunch. Jessi's sandwiches tasted amazing, and the kids played in the water for a while. Allegra slept the whole way up, and was happy as a clam once we got up there. It was hot and a good workout carrying a 20 lb baby the whole way up!!

When we got home Saturday night we went out for Mexican food. I'm obsessed. We went to our favorite place (and I can never remember the name) Don Maria's something haha. Allegra was so tired and in a dazed mood and just sat in her car seat and talked the whole time. Thanks AJ! It was a nice date.

Sunday we relaxed by the pool. AJ still wasn't quite sure of the water!! We went to dinner at Cafe Rio and had ice cream with the Sorensen Fam, and headed home about 8:30 when AJ was ready for Bed. She slept the whole way home this time!!! Perfecto.

We decided to go home Sunday night and have full day off at home before Aust had to go back to work. It was one of the funnest weekend's we've had since Allegra has been born. She is so easy (most of the time) and fun, and we just had a blast!!!
