It's someone's birthday!!!! Allegra turns ONE today. It was the best and hardest year of my life, and WE MADE IT with lots of sleepless nights, but also lots of snuggles, kisses, and laughs.
At one, Allegra is a happy baby as long as she is getting what she wants :) She has turned into a little fit thrower, and it makes us laugh. She just wants to be so independent! She throws her head back and freaks out if we pick her up, or hold onto her, or basically do anything she doesn't like!
She is not walking yet. She crawls and does the bear walk, and she is getting really close to walking. She now loves to walk around holding our hands, and that is definitely new.
Her favorite movie is definitely Toy Story. It is the only movie she will sit and watch. She likes to snuggle with us and watch it before naps or bedtime, and it is our favorite time of the day.
She is sleeping EXCELLENT. At 10 months I had a goal of making her sleep straight through the night and take good naps, and we barely made it. You go girl. I get about 8 or 9 hours of sleep now, and I am taking advantage of it.
She likes to do animal noises including horse, dog, monkey, snake, sheep, and elephant. She's starting to learn where her nose and eyes and bellybutton are.
She loves attention and whenever we laugh (or fake laugh), she joins in. She scrunches up her nose to do a fake smile, and she loves her tongue. She moves it all around in her mouth. She loves to play with other kids and loves little babies, but she's pretty rough and attacks their faces and steals their toys. We'll work on it.
She is a really good eater, but starting to get picky. If she likes something though....she eats a ton of it She likes yogurt, peas, beans, pineapple, watermelon, peaches, cheese, pasta, and ice cream. She likes to try everything though and if we are eating something she tries to get in our mouth and pull it out. She freaks take if we eat in front of her. I love how she opens her mouth HUGE to take a bite.
She has 7 teeth. 4 on the top and 3 on the bottom.
She has yet to say any words besides mama and dad.
She still loves her binky and is very attached to her blankey. She loves it and doesn't fall asleep without it. Hopefully the blanket can last a little longer; it is so worn.
