This last sunday we went to the Minute Man National History Park in Concord
They have a monument there for the first battle that started the Revolutionary War.
History lesson from me...the history buff (wa ha ha)
Basically....the battle of Lexington and Concord were the first shots of the Revolutionary War. On April 19, 1975, 700 Brittish officers were sent to destroy our military supplies in Concord, but we found out about it so we moved most of the supplies & when they came, we attacked them. They were outnumbered and we kicked their butts.
It got me in the 4th of July spirit for sure!!
OK Here are some pics of Concord...
walking to the monument with the gang....
Pretty cool looking place - so green and a cute little river! Isn't this what you imagine it looking like after watching the Patriot?? Which by the way, we went home and watched afterwards.
...and here are my children. There are like 10 single guys and me. I feel like their mommy making them dinner, providing the treats, and making cinnamon rolls.
love it...
Austin absolutely loves it out here and is trying to force me to stay here forever. Don't worry...not happening.
of course...

After seeing the monuments, we went downtown. The boys were craving Mac & Cheese and Cannolis. I know...when you hang out with boys you get forced to eat like a boy. Very bad for me. Quincy Market has the best Mac & Cheese in the world though FYI.
They had a magic show going on so we stopped on the street and watched that for a while.
Then we went to Mike's Pastrys. If you go to Boston you are pretty much forced to go to this place. Boston is famous for it. I didn't get a Cannoli (yuck!) but I got a coconut cupcake. I have to say it wasn't as good as Twenty-Five Main in St. George. Boston's food doens't even compare to Utah's. Sorry, Mass. I feel deprived.
...and we just hung around downtown for a bit. I love it because 2 of the guys out here are also photographers so they are always wiilling to snap shots. Austin feels left out a little though.
That's all for now.
