Last week I went on a day trip with some of the girlies to Rockport, Massachusetts.
Back in the day...like way back - Rockport was just a chunk of granite protruding from the Atlantic.
Later on a dock was built and it became a primary location for timber, fishing, and granite.
Prince Charles named it after his mom, Anne of Denmark.
It's still a small fishing village and a major source of stone but mostly A VACATION SPOT!
It has some summer homes & lots of cute shops.
This is where it is located in reference to the state (JUST IN CASE YOU'RE WONDERING)...
When I left my house, IT was bright & sunny. I was under the impression it would be more of a beach day. BUT of course...1 minute after we get there and get out of the car - It starts POURING!!!! That's soemthing crazy about MA - the weather changes DRASTICALLY (even more so than UT), and when it rains - IT POURS!!!
We were honestly the only people walking around without an umbrella or raincoat. We obviously aren't from the area. At first we tried to stay covered, but when it didn't stop...we decided to embrace it!!!
It is such a cute town!! I loved it. The building are old and colorful. They have so much character. We just walked around the shops....
Beautiful!!
Well the biggest reason we wanted to go is beecause it was one of the places The Proposal was filmed, which is definitely on my list of top 5 favorite movies. Love Sandy & LOOOOOVE Ryan. Anyway....remember when they go into town to get her cell phone and she goes into the building with the computer?? THIS IS IT!!!
This is where she looks out the window and sees Ryan with Gertie. Can you believe I walked on the same street as Ryan Reynolds? haha just kidding - but seriously?
.....and this my friends is one of the most famous buildings in the world if you can believe it or not. One of the most painted and photographed places in the world. Do you see the ladder? Remember this in the proposal? They must have built a dock at the bottom of the ladder for the movie cause there is no dock in real life. Isn't this a cute old fishing shack? I know.
We went and ate at this cute Mexican place... well half Mexican half American. They also had hot dogs and pizza (with salsa...nice) Here we are wet as can be...this is even before the walk back to our car. Hahaha so memorable. The workers seriously gave us towels to dry off!

Life is Goooooood!!
