Last weekend we took the 4 hour drive to the amazing New York City!!!
It was the last thing on my list of things to do while living in Boston.
Yep, every last one of our things to do have been crossed off ... yippeeeee :)
We parked right by Central Park, and took a walk around.
Central Park is HUUUUUUUUUGE. I had no idea...we didn't even cover half of it before we got starving for lunch.
It so isn't what I pictured.... the grass is all dead. It was weird.
Austin cracked me up. We had to get up at like 7:00 to leave. All of us were soo tired, but Austin was sooooo excited. He downloaded the song New York, New York by Frank Sinatra and would not turn it off.
Then I fell asleep in the car on the way up, and I kept getting woken up to him talking. When I opened my eyes he was sitting in the middle seat with his head up right between my parents just talking their ears off!!!!!!! It was sooo funny how excited he was!! So Austin.
For lunch we went to Big Nicks. They had the most amaaaaazing pizza. We all know I am a sucker for pizza. My dad didn't stop talking about this place for the rest of the trip. If you go to NY, go to this place!!
Then we just started walking...making our way to Broadway, and there in the middle of the city....
The LDS Temple.
How coooool is that?
When I picture NY, I picture these stands......and Albert Brennamen.
Look at these peeps eating right in the middle of the street...ha
Ooooo here's the Classic New Yorker...
Can you see her tiny Chihuahua???
I was very discreet while taking this.
She made me laugh.
She must me feeling a little nippy in there.
Matt's second time to NY in 2 months...pshhhh spoiled rotten.
Love this picture of my mom and dad. They are so darn cute....especially in NYC
Ohhh and us....we were there too. Our first time to NYC together....cute.
I took my family on a wild goose hunt in search of H&M. WHYYY are there no H&M's in Utah again??
All I wanted to do was shop shop shop.
I let the boys stop at the NBA store, though...it's the least I could do.
Empire State Building....which isn't all that tall anymore.
(Not that it shrunk, just that there are more TALL buildings now.... in case you were confused by that statement)
After shopping we took the subway to the other end of town to visit the Statue of Liberty
It looks so small haha
We had done A LOT of walking...goodnight.
Look happy, people. TOO MANY PICTURES, I know.
Austin just had to see the bull....
Most peeps were taking pictures by the bull's balls doing the nasty
We stuck to the head...like normal grown ups.
Look at us being all mature.
Then we took the subway to Little Italy for din din!!!! It was cooooool!!!!
Every time my dad visits New York, he must go to Puglia for dinner. It's a rule....so we went.
Eccellente!!!!!! (as I do the fingertip kiss, of course)
Then we had to walk through China Town (in the dark with no white people) back to they subway. I was happy to get back to the car...to safety!!!!
The best part about the drive home.....oh wait, I don't remember cause we all took Tylenol PM to knock ourselves out. Yep, we did that....and my mom provided the drugs. Nice move.
Oh PS - did you notice Austin'shaircut trim??
Oh PS - did you notice Austin's
