hi ya'll

Welcome to our life here'n GEORGIA!!
Ya gotta say Georgia with a southern accent though...cause we are in the DEEP SOUTH, people!!!

We're lovin the accents and sometimes can't stop talkin with a little bit of a Southern drawl.

Words we've noticed they use...
billfold (wallet)
ya'll
yonder
pocketbook (purse)
mash (push)
don't instead of doesn't (he don't like fish)
them instead of the (see them fish?)
was instead of were (you was eatin that fish)
fixin
ma & pa
ma'm & sir
everywheres
yat (where ya't?)

Ohhh..it's just great!!!

Anyway...we left last Monday night at about 7:00 and drove through the night....thank you energy drinks!
The drive from Boston to where we're at in Georgia is about 20 hours.
Oh MY gosh we have driven A LOT this summer!!!!

We are living at a motel. Yep, you heard me read it........with lots of construction workers, truck drivers, and other awesome country folk. Hmmm... yeah. It's been quite the experience.

Sometimes I am scared to walk outside and running outside is out of the question.... makes me want to pee my pants... but then again- I have turned into a scaredy pants being away from home this summer.

The best part about livin in a motel is the constant supply of TOWELS!!!!
Love it...and the other maid services, of course.

The worst part about living here is washing dishes in the bathroom sink....just plain gross!!!!!!!! I hate it.
Of course, living off microwave food isn't that awesome either. We have no stove or oven, and the size of the fridge is about the size of my pinkie (enough room for our water bottles).
sooo we eat PB&Js....nachos.....microwave dinners...burritos....and other really healthy meals.

Char and I are stuck in the hotel a little too much.
Sometimes we start to go a little crazy and break out in dance (at least once a day).

Whew...... 9 days down and 17 days left to go
but who's counting, right?

Did I mention I can't wait to come home???

On Saturday it was pourin rain so they guys got off work early... like way early. Austin got home at 7 instead of midnight so we seriously had to celebrate....with food....lots of it....at Texas Roadhouse!

After church on Sunday we went to the only thing worth seeing in our 2 hour radius (we are in the middle of nowhere)... Banks Lake.

How cool is this lake??? It made us feel like we were on the Bayou in Princess and the Frog...and we for sure sang ...."floatin down the bayou" the whole time...but it was more like sweatin down the Bayou.
IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOO HUMID!!!!!!

BUT it is soooo beautiful here...the water, the trees, and the cotton fields!

The trees are AMAZING! I've never seen anything like it. They are Spanish Moss trees as Austin informed me.

Hello....

...and I don't think I have ever seen lily pads like this either...

They have dragon flies (or skeeter hawks as they call them) up the wazooooo!!!

and I don't know what to say about this picture.... but here it is anyway.

We were planning on renting a little row boat, but we chickened out!!! Char and I are maybe sorta scared of the alligators. Does this look like a place infested with alligators or what? The people insists the alligators are scared of people....but not the alligators I know have heard of????

Instead of renting the boat, we took a walk around the lake. When I say around the lake..I mean a 1/3 mile walk. ha....not really around the lake at all.

I really can't get over the trees....gigantinormous
Oh, and I would like to point out that Austin's wearing his "adventure shorts"
Also, the video camera. It is his baby.
We are one big happy family...Me Austin the video recorder and the camera

Me Tarzan
(It is only blurry because I was swinging sooo fast)

Jeff and Char Char....our partners in adventure....is that too cheesy? I don't know.

....and I will leave you now with this lovely photo in your mind

see ya later, alligator

Ok these pictures make me "home sick" but I am already home, like literally i am home in my pjs (gs) in bed!!?? Does that make sense then? I never lived in Georgia, went to Atlanta for business once, but not long enough to call it home? hmm Maybe you "feel like home to me"?! WE MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!!! Austin sure has a firm grip on your teeny tiny hiney. You guys have sure gotten even more cute out there but it is time to come home NOW!!!!!!!!! Dorothy get taping those little red shoes because there is no place like home...Sing it...

It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I come from
It feels like home to me, it feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong
