AJ is officially 1 week old today!
The week has been better than expected and harder than expected as well :)
Yesterday I realized I hadn't been outside in a full week so we went on a tiny 10 minute walk to get out of the house. I forget that real life is still going on outside!!
Having Austin home has been amazing and so helpful. I'm usually up from about 1-4 with her and Austin is usually up from about 4-7. She does sleep from 11-1....YEAH!! Haha....
She sleeps so soundly in the day. I try rubbing her back, tickling her toes, and changing her diaper to get her to wake up, and she just falls right back asleep! Oh well.... for now I'm just enjoying so much snuggling during the days. I'm definitely going to have to figure out how to help her switch her days and nights because I'm going to die next week when Austin goes back to work.
She is such a good eater, and that makes me so happy! I know she is at least getting enough food! She wakes up every 3 hours on the dot, but I feel like I am feeding her every minute of the day!
She is a very happy baby so far! She just hates bath time, but other than that she just has a soft cry when she is hungry and getting her diaper changed.
She likes to have her arms and legs sprawled out. She always turns her head to the side when she's laying on her back. She has great burps. She already has a strong neck. She loves laying on her tummy. Daddy's got the sweet spot on his chest.
I haven't done that well taking pictures of being home this week, but here are a few from instagram....
PS my phone camera is the worst things ever, but oh well.

That basically sums it up...... life on the couch!

Oh my goodness she is so cute! I need to see more pictures of her asap! I can't get enough. Wish we were there to snuggle her on the couch too. Love you guys!
she is so pretty! yeah, it takes a few weeks for them to get night and day right. sounds like you're doing it right to me!
That first month is SO HARD! Hang in there, it gets better I promise! She is darling!
Ahhh, I love her already! I think the first month or two where you just sit on the couch is the best time ever. Especially when it is baby #1. I know everyone says this and so you probably just want to roll your eyes, just enjoy it. It really does go so fast. And, it is heaven just snuggling a newborn all day long. Congrats!!!
She is so beautiful, congratulations to both of you! That first little bit is crazy--having a baby gives you a totally different life! But it's awesome. Love her name :)
